(LRW) The use of simulation as an educational tool is becoming increasingly prevalent in nursing education, and a variety of simulators are utilized. Based on the results of these studies, nursing facilitators must find ways to promote effective learning among students in clinical practice and classrooms. Simulation in Nursing Education is used to teach learners concepts relating to the care of patients who are either sick or infirm. Through the replication of real-world nursing scenarios and experiences, learners can practice the skills necessary to succeed in the field, without ever putting a real-life patient at risk. Simulation is used widely in prelicensure nursing programs across the nation to practice skills and decision making before applying any knowledge to real patients. A mixed educational model that combines classroom lectures, traditional clinical rotations, and simulation is becoming a popular approach to basic nursing education.

Simulations is an educational process that can replicate clinical practices in a safe environment. Nursing students who take part in education programs involving simulations perform less medical mistakes in clinical settings, and are able to better develop their critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills. Many clinicians, educators, and leaders believe simulation promotes patient safety and raises the quality of patient care when used for both the basic education of nurses and continuing education.1 Not surprisingly, given the challenges many nursing programs experience with finding clinical placements, some have begun thinking of simulation as a lifesaver.2 A few years ago, research appeared

Whether simulation is used as a teaching strategy or a method of evaluation, the use of simulation to enhance clinical teaching in nursing education may increase personal confidence in clinical performance (Galloway, 2009) , but the influence of simulation on competence in clinical judgment and ethical values in practice is unknown.
